How To Self Publish With UniBook – STEP 3

You are now on to Step 3 of the Self Publishing Wizard. Your book information has been entered and your book files uploaded. Now it is time to design your cover layout.

STEP 3: COVER LAYOUT

Select Author picture or image
This step is optional. Browse your files and select a jpeg picture or image that can be uploaded. This image will be printed on back cover of the book. It is a great way to add interest to the book. Please make sure that the image is the highest quality possible (preferably 300 dpi or higher).

Front Cover Image
The UniBook Self Publishing Wizard gives you three choices for your cover art:
1. If you have your own cover art, enter the file location from your computer and upload it as a JPEG file. Please make sure that it is the highest quality possible (300 dpi or higher). The image should be the same size as your book i.e., if your book size is 6″x9″, your cover art needs to be 6″x9″. If not, our software will resize it automatically, which sometimes will distort the image. In the last step of the wizard, you will receive a preview of your cover, and you still have the chance to make changes. If you do not have your own cover art to upload

IMPORTANT: When creating your own cover image, please be sure to have all text and images approximately 1/4″ to 1/2″ away from the edge of the file. This will keep your cover from having text and/or images trimmed off during production.

2. No cover art. Select no cover art.
3. No cover art. Choose from one of the online UniBook cover art images.

Choose A Background Color
This color becomes the background color of your back cover. Choose a color that compliments your front cover.

Dust Cover
Select Hardcover or Paperback

Dustcover layout
This applies only if you choose the hardcover option.

Letter Color
This is the color in which your author bio and book description will appear on the back cover. This text is placed on top of the “background color” you selected earlier. Be sure to choose a letter color that stands out against your background color.

The most important part is, of course, your digital file of the book content. Be sure that your book content is formatted to the same size as your book. The UniBook Self Publishing Wizard only accepts documents in Microsoft Word (.doc) or PDF (.pdf) format. If your book contains special images, pictures, letter types, or fonts, we strongly recommend that you save your document as a PDF. Don’t know a thing about PDFs? Don’t worry, we can help. There is more information about converting .docs to .pdf that can be found in our FAQ.

Print Preferences
Select on of five different book sizes.
IMPORTANT: Please be sure that your book content is formatted to the same size as your book i.e., if you chose to have your book printed in a 6″x9″ size, set the margins of your book to 6×9. The templates section on UniBook contain pre-formatted book templates you can use to typeset your books.

Printing
Select color or black and white. Note that yoru choice will be applied to the entire book, meaning all text and images. However, it does not apply to the cover. All covers are printed in color.

UniBook Book Release: Bass-Ackward Business – The Power of Helping Without Hustling

UniBook is proud to announce the publication of self published author, Steve Beecham’s book, Bass-Ackward Business – The Power of Helping Without Hustling.

For anyone trying to get started in business, develop a sales career, or learn to network effectively, Steve Beecham’s lifestyle and approach to helping people in his community can serve as an inspirational testament to the power of devoting one’s life to the service of others. Bass-Ackward Business is Mr. Beecham’s story of transforming himself into a successful entrepreneur, and is a guideline for others who wish to do the same.

Mr. Beecham began his career the same way many young salespeople do: cold calling prospects and attending lead groups full of inexperienced sales reps just like himself. His career was a disappointment, and he knew he had to find a better way.

10 years ago, no one in the mortgage business had ever heard of Steve Beecham. Today his brokerage is the second biggest in the State of Georgia. So, what’s his trick to success?

He discovered that spending his time helping others get what they want resulted in him getting what he wanted.

The book Bass-Ackward Business details Steve’s personal transformation and how he helps others to achieve the same results in their lives, and in their careers.

UniBook Book Release: The Adventures of Dotey Sanchez in the Search for the Source

UniBook is proud to announce the publication of Zurishaddai’s book, The Adventures of Dotey Sanchez in the Search for the Source.

This is the third in the Martianz Trilogy – a story of colonization, exploration and of human discovery. The story begins with the reincarnation of Dotey Sanchez and follows his path of re-discovery not just of himself, but of the source of human existence and love.

For the narrator in this story, love is an experience that transcends generations and centuries. His relationships have unfolded and persisted despite the corporeal limitations of physical life and distance. The descriptions of Zurishaddai’s relationships are at the same time sweetly innocent and terrifying in their implications.

The Martianz Trilogy is part science fiction and part political and technological commentary. It blends the utopian concepts of modern science fiction with the harsh reality and precariousness of the lives we lead every day. The reader is provided much more than a litany of technological marvels to wonder about; instead Zurishaddai provides a new perspective on our basic assumptions about freedom, religion, and what it’s all about.

The mysterious Zurishaddai is an author of exceptional talent, and UniBook is proud to play a part in bringing his artistic and technological vision to the public through the publication of this series of books.

UniBook Book Release: The Republic of Marz

UniBook is proud to announce the publication of Zurishaddai’s book, The Republic of Marz.

The Republic of Marz is the second in the Martianz Trilogy – a story of colonization, exploration and of human discovery. The story begins with an apocalyptic meteor shower on the Earth; or, as Zurishaddai refers to it, “the third planet.”

The story then details the surprising discoveries made by the Martianz as they journey back to their home planet and discover the true origin of the species aboard the Mayflower 3.

UniBook Book Release: The Passive Voice by Zurishaddai

UniBook is proud to announce the publication of Zurishaddai’s book, The Passive Voice.

Written as part Science Fiction, and part political and technological commentary, The Passive Voice is the first in the Martianz Trilogy – a story of colonization, exploration and of human discovery. The story follows the life of a man from 16th century England to the 21st Century establishment of human colonies on another planet.

In The Passive Voice, the author masterfully contrasts the future of our world with its past; blending the two seemingly unrelated lifestyles and technological circumstances with a plotline that transcends the apparent gulf of centuries and exposes the more fundamental truths of the human predicament.

The mysterious Zurishaddai is an author of exceptional talent, and UniBook is proud to play a part in bringing his artistic and technological vision to the public through the publication of this series of books.
